Tribute to the Fish Formerly Known as Nameless

Dear Friends and Family,

I regret to inform you that yesterday I lost a dear friend. I had to let go of my fish, Theo, formerly known as Nameless, at 3:36pm on April 30th, 2005. If Theo had been alive and healthy today, he might have looked something like this:

theo almost

But in his final moments of pain and suffering, I decided, at the counsel of my mom, that it was time to put Theo out of his misery. I know he wouldn't have wanted to go on like that had he had a chance to live a few extra minutes, and unfortunately I do not know anyone who was related to Theo; he did not talk about his 5000 relatives, nor did he have a will, but he did mention I should keep his special rock. Mom said a prayer for Theo over the phone as I watched Theo float upside down into the great white washed abyss fish know as the Great Porcelain God. Mom assured me it was the best way to put him out of his misery. As you all know, though Theo was an emotionally unstable fish at times, he was a good fish in his day. He had a sense of humor up until the very end, often joking that when he passed I had to promise not to make him into a fish stick.

Please say a prayer for our dear friend and loyal companion, Theo.

Sniff*

It pretty much sucked when my Betta died as well, though I don't think he lasted as long as yours did.

Perhaps now Nameless/Theo is playing happily along with Gunther.

((hugs))

love,
karen
